Soluble CD5 (CD5) ELISA Kit for Human

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS177219

Background: CD5, also known as T1 or LEU1, is a cluster of differentiation found on a subset of IgM-secreting B cells called B-1 cells, and also on T cells. It is mapped to 11q12.2. Although CD5 can be found on both T cells and B cells, T cells express higher… More details

Other Notes

Small volumes of CD5 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Searchable Terms for CD5 purchase

MBS177219 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the soluble CD5, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CD5. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS177219 kit is based on CD5 antibody-CD5 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CD5 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CD5. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for CD5

CD5: a surface glycoprotein expressed on T cells and B-1 B cells. Rapidly recruited to the immunological synapse, lowering the response of the T cell antigen receptor. CD5 interacts with CD72/LYB-2. Promotes B-cell survival through stimulation of autocrine IL-10 production. Contains 3 SRCR domains.
