Other Notes

Small volumes of Cxcl3 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS177613 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the CXCL3 PicoKine, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing Cxcl3. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS177613 kit is based on Cxcl3 antibody-Cxcl3 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect Cxcl3 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, Cxcl3. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for Cxcl3

This gene encodes a protein that is a member of the CXC subfamily of chemokines. Chemokines, which recruit and activate leukocytes, are classified by function (inflammatory or homeostatic) or by structure. This secretory protein is proposed to bind the G-protein coupled receptor chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 2 to recruit neutrophils. [provided by RefSeq, May 2013]

UniProt Comments for Cxcl3

CXCL1: Has chemotactic activity for neutrophils. May play a role in inflammation and exerts its effects on endothelial cells in an autocrine fashion. In vitro, the processed forms GRO- alpha(4-73), GRO-alpha(5-73) and GRO-alpha(6-73) show a 30-fold higher chemotactic activity. Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.

Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Cellular Component: cytosol; extracellular region; extracellular space

Molecular Function: chemokine activity; CXCR chemokine receptor binding; cytokine activity; protein binding

Biological Process: chemotaxis; elevation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; immune response; inflammatory response; neutrophil chemotaxis; regulation of cell proliferation; response to lipopolysaccharide
