Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin Concentration: 0.5-1ug/ml

Western Blot (WB) of anti-NES antibody

Western blot analysis of Nestin expression in HELA whole cell lysates (lane 1) and HEPG2 whole cell lysates (lane 2). Nestin at 230KD was detected using rabbit anti- Nestin Antigen Affinity purified polyclonal antibody at0.5ug/mL. The blot was developed using chemiluminescence (ECL) method.
Anti-NES Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS178078

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-NES antibody

Nestin was detected in paraffin-embedded sections of rat kidney tissues using rabbit anti- Nestin Antigen Affinity purified polyclonal antibody at 1 ug/mL. The immunohistochemical section was developed using SABC method.
Anti-NES Polyclonal Antibody, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) – Cat# MBS178078

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-NES antibody

Nestin was detected in paraffin-embedded sections of human melanoma tissues using rabbit anti- Nestin Antigen Affinity purified polyclonal antibody at 1ug/mL. The immunohistochemical section was developed using SABC method.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-NES antibody

Figure 4. IHC analysis of Nestin using anti-Nestin antibody (MBS178078).
Nestin was detected in frozen section of mouse kidney tissue. Heat mediated antigen retrieval was performed in citrate buffer (pH6, epitope retrieval solution) for 20 mins. The tissue section was blocked with 10% goat serum. The tissue section was then incubated with 1ug/ml rabbit anti-Nestin Antibody (MBS178078) overnight at 4 degree C. Biotinylated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody and incubated for 30 minutes at 37 degree C. The tissue section was developed using Strepavidin-Biotin-Complex (SABC) with DAB as the chromogen.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-NES antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for NES

This gene encodes a member of the intermediate filament protein family and is expressed primarily in nerve cells. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]

UniProt Comments for NES

nestin: an intermediate filament protein. It is expressed predominantly in stem cells of the central nervous system in the neural tube. Upon terminal neural differentiation, nestin is downregulated and replaced by neurofilaments.

Protein type: Cytoskeletal

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q23.1

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; intermediate filament; intermediate filament cytoskeleton

Molecular Function: intermediate filament binding; structural molecule activity

Biological Process: brain development; cell projection morphogenesis; central nervous system development; embryonic camera-type eye development; G2/M transition of mitotic cell cycle; negative regulation of catalytic activity; negative regulation of neuron apoptosis; negative regulation of protein binding; positive regulation of intermediate filament depolymerization
