Western Blot (WB) of anti-CXCL3 antibody

Western blot analysis of GRO gamma expression in mouse lung extract (lane 1) and mouse spleen extract (lane 2). GRO gamma at 25KD was detected using rabbit anti- GRO gamma Antigen Affinity purified polyclonal antibody at 0.5 ug/mL. The blot was developed using chemiluminescence (ECL) method.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-CXCL3 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for CXCL3

This gene encodes a protein that is a member of the CXC subfamily of chemokines. Chemokines, which recruit and activate leukocytes, are classified by function (inflammatory or homeostatic) or by structure. This secretory protein is proposed to bind the G-protein coupled receptor chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 2 to recruit neutrophils. [provided by RefSeq, May 2013]

UniProt Comments for CXCL3

CXCL1: Has chemotactic activity for neutrophils. May play a role in inflammation and exerts its effects on endothelial cells in an autocrine fashion. In vitro, the processed forms GRO- alpha(4-73), GRO-alpha(5-73) and GRO-alpha(6-73) show a 30-fold higher chemotactic activity. Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.

Protein type: Secreted; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted, signal peptide

Cellular Component: extracellular space

Molecular Function: chemokine activity; CXCR chemokine receptor binding; protein binding

Biological Process: elevation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; immune response; inflammatory response; neutrophil chemotaxis; regulation of cell proliferation; response to lipopolysaccharide
