By Heat: Boiling the paraffin sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH6.0, for 20mins is required for the staining of formalin/paraffin sections.
Other applications have not been tested.
Reconstitution
Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.

Western blot analysis of Cytokeratin 18 expression in rat liver extract (lane 1), mouse liver extract (lane 2), HELA whole cell lysates (lane 3) and HEPG2 whole cell lysates (lane 4). Cytokeratin 18 at 55KD was detected using rabbit anti- Cytokeratin 18 Antigen Affinity purified polyclonal antibody at 0.5ug/mL. The blot was developed using chemiluminescence (ECL) method.

Keratin 18, together with its filament partner keratin 8, are perhaps the most commonly found members of the intermediate filament gene family. They are expressed in single layer epithelial tissues of the body. Mutations in this gene have been linked to cryptogenic cirrhosis.
