Msmac (Ct) Antibody – Rabbit

Inhibitors of apoptosis proteins (IAPs) regulate programmed cell death by inhibiting members of the caspase family of enzymes. A novel mammalian protein that binds to IAPs and neutralizes the inhibitory effect of IAPs on caspases has been identified and designated Smac/DIABLO. Smac is a mitochondrial protein that is released along with cytochrome c during apoptosis and activates the cytochrome c/Apaf-1/caspase-9 pathway. The Nterminal amino acids of Smac are required for binding to IAPs and for activation of caspases. Smac is expressed in a variety of human and mouse tissues.

Small volumes of anti-mSmac (CT) antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
