Product Categories/Family for anti-MRRF antibody

Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-MRRF antibody
ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes for anti-MRRF antibody
Recommended starting dilution is 1:1000.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-MRRF antibody

The cell lysates (40ug) were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with anti-human MRRF antibody (1:1000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system.

NCBI Summary for MRRF

This gene encodes a ribosome recycling factor, which is a component of the mitochondrial translational machinery. The encoded protein, along with mitochondrial elongation factor 2, functions in ribosomal recycling at the termination of mitochondrial translation by mediating the disassembly of ribosomes from messenger RNA. A pseudogene of this gene has been identified on chromosome X. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2016]

UniProt Comments for MRRF

Responsible for the release of ribosomes from messenger RNA at the termination of protein biosynthesis. May increase the efficiency of translation by recycling ribosomes from one round of translation to another ().
