Product Categories/Family for anti-CMBL antibody

Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-CMBL antibody
ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes for anti-CMBL antibody
WB: 1:500 ~ 1:5000.
Recommended starting dilution is 1:500.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-CMBL antibody

The extracts of HeLa (40ug) were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with anti-human CMBL antibody (1:500 ~ 1:5000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system.

NCBI Summary for CMBL

CMBL (EC 3.1.1.45) is a cysteine hydrolase of the dienelactone hydrolase family that is highly expressed in liver cytosol. CMBL preferentially cleaves cyclic esters, and it activates medoxomil-ester prodrugs in which the medoxomil moiety is linked to an oxygen atom (Ishizuka et al., 2010 [PubMed 20177059]).[supplied by OMIM, Apr 2010]

UniProt Comments for CMBL

Cysteine hydrolase. Can convert the prodrug olmesartan medoxomil into its pharmacologically active metabolite olmerstatan, an angiotensin receptor blocker, in liver and intestine. May also activate beta-lactam antibiotics faropenem medoxomil and lenampicillin.
