IgG concentration1.0 mg/ml after reconstitution (lot specific)
Specificity
This item recognises both the 2.5S and 7S forms of mouse nerve growth factor beta, a secreted peptide involved in the development and maintenance of the sympathetic and sensory nervous systems. In a standard bioassay, this antibody neutralises the activity of 3.0 ng/ml NGF 2.5S when used at a concentration of around 0.5 ug/ml.
Preparation and Storage
Store at -20 degree C only. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.

27,077 Da
3D Structure
ModBase 3D Structure for P01139
Reconstitution
Reconstitute with 1.0ml distilled water. Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. MyBioSource recommends that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution. For long term storage the addition of 0.09% sodium azide is recommended. N.B. For functional studies do not add sodium azide
Immunogen
Affinity purified mouse NGF 2.5S
Buffer Solution||Phosphate buffered saline
Antiserum Preparation
Antiserum to NGF 2.5S was raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography on Protein G.
Target Species
Mouse
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-Ngf antibody
ELISA (EIA), Functional Assays (FN), Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes for anti-Ngf antibody
Functional Assays: Minimum Dilution: 0.1ug/ml; Maximum Dilution: 1.0ug/ml

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-Ngf antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for Ngf

NGF: Nerve growth factor is important for the development and maintenance of the sympathetic and sensory nervous systems. Extracellular ligand for the NTRK1 and NGFR receptors, activates cellular signaling cascades through those receptor tyrosine kinase to regulate neuronal proliferation, differentiation and survival. Homodimer. Belongs to the NGF-beta family.
