Background: Fixative is a formaldehyde solution designed to cross-link intracellular components. It will not interfere with the fluorescence labels used on our fluorescent detection probes like FLICA, Magic Red, and FLISP. Fixative is useful to preserve a cellular staining configuration for 24 hours before cellular analysis. Cells should be stained prior to fixation. This product is included in many of our cell viability assay kits, and can be utilized in a variety of cellular analysis workflows.

Warning: This product is toxic if inhaled, in contact with skin, or if swallowed. Gloves, protective clothing, and eyewear are strongly recommended. When disposing, flush sink with copious amounts of water.

Small volumes of Fixative reagent vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
