Catenin Delta-2 (CTNND2) ELISA Kit for Mouse

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS280145

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate BGLAP in Horse serum, plasma. An antibody specific for BGLAP has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any BGLAP present is… More details

Other Notes

Small volumes of CTNND2 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS280145 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Catenin delta-2 (CTNND2) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CTNND2. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS280145 kit is based on CTNND2 antibody-CTNND2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CTNND2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CTNND2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for CTNND2

CTNND2: Functions as a transcriptional activator when bound to ZBTB33. May be involved in neuronal cell adhesion and tissue morphogenesis and integrity by regulating adhesion molecules. Binds to E-cadherin at a juxtamembrane site within the cytoplasmic domain. Interacts with PDZD2. Interacts with ZBTB33. Binds to PSEN1. Interacts with RGNEF. Interacts (via the extreme C-terminus) with FRMPD2 (via the PDZ 2 domain). Predominantly expressed in brain; accumulates in cortical neurons. Belongs to the beta-catenin family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Actin-binding; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 15|15 B2

Cellular Component: cell junction; cell projection; neuron projection; nucleus; perikaryon; postsynaptic density

Molecular Function: beta-catenin binding

Biological Process: cell adhesion; learning; morphogenesis of a branching structure; multicellular organism development; regulation of synaptic plasticity; regulation of transcription, DNA-templated; synapse organization; transcription, DNA-dependent
