Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor (M-CSF) ELISA Kit for Simian

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS281081

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate MCSF in samples. An antibody specific for MCSF has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyMCSF present is bound by the… More details

Other Notes

Small volumes of M-CSF elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS281081 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor (M-CSF) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing M-CSF. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS281081 kit is based on M-CSF antibody-M-CSF antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect M-CSF antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, M-CSF. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for M-CSF

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that controls the production, differentiation, and function of granulocytes and macrophages. The active form of the protein is found extracellularly as a homodimer. This gene has been localized to a cluster of related genes at chromosome region 5q31, which is known to be associated with interstitial deletions in the 5q- syndrome and acute myelogenous leukemia. Other genes in the cluster include those encoding interleukins 4, 5, and 13. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
