Potassium Channel Subfamily K Member 9 (KCNK9) ELISA Kit for Human

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS281492

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate KCNK9 in samples. An antibody specific for KCNK9 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyKCNK9 present is bound by the… More details

Other Notes

Small volumes of KCNK9 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS281492 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Potassium channel subfamily K member 9 (KCNK9) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing KCNK9. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS281492 kit is based on KCNK9 antibody-KCNK9 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect KCNK9 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, KCNK9. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for KCNK9

This gene encodes a protein that contains multiple transmembrane regions and two pore-forming P domains and functions as a pH-dependent potassium channel. Amplification and overexpression of this gene have been observed in several types of human carcinomas. This gene is imprinted in the brain, with preferential expression from the maternal allele. A mutation in this gene was associated with Birk-Barel dysmorphism syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2017]
