Probable ATP-Dependent RNA Helicase DDX31 (DDX31) ELISA Kit for Human

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS281618

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate DDX31 in samples. An antibody specific for DDX31 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyDDX31 present is bound by the… More details

Other Notes

Small volumes of DDX31 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS281618 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX31, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing DDX31. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS281618 kit is based on DDX31 antibody-DDX31 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect DDX31 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, DDX31. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for DDX31

DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this DEAD box protein family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. This gene encodes a member of this family. The function of this member has not been determined. Alternative splicing of this gene generates multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
