Heat Shock 70 Kda Protein 1-Like (HSPA1L) ELISA Kit for Pig

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS282172

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate HSPA1L in samples. An antibody specific for HSPA1L has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyHSPA1L present is bound by… More details

Other Notes

Small volumes of HSPA1L elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS282172 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Heat shock 70 kDa protein 1-like (HSPA1L) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing HSPA1L. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS282172 kit is based on HSPA1L antibody-HSPA1L antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect HSPA1L antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, HSPA1L. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for HSPA1L

Molecular chaperone implicated in a wide variety of cellular processes, including protection of the proteome from stress, folding and transport of newly synthesized polypeptides, activation of proteolysis of misfolded proteins and the formation and dissociation of protein complexes. Plays a pivotal role in the protein quality control system, ensuring the correct folding of proteins, the re-folding of misfolded proteins and controlling the targeting of proteins for subsequent degradation. This is achieved through cycles of ATP binding, ATP hydrolysis and ADP release, mediated by co-chaperones. The affinity for polypeptides is regulated by its nucleotide bound state. In the ATP-bound form, it has a low affinity for substrate proteins. However, upon hydrolysis of the ATP to ADP, it undergoes a conformational change that increases its affinity for substrate proteins. It goes through repeated cycles of ATP hydrolysis and nucleotide exchange, which permits cycles of substrate binding and release. Positive regulator of PRKN translocation to damaged mitochondria.
