Other Notes

Small volumes of DYRK1A elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS283002 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Dual specificity tyrosine-phosphorylation-regulated kinase 1A (DYRK1A) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing DYRK1A. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS283002 kit is based on DYRK1A antibody-DYRK1A antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect DYRK1A antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, DYRK1A. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for DYRK1A

DYRK1A: a dual-specificity protein kinase of the DYRK family. Contains a nuclear targeting signal sequence, a protein kinase domain, a leucine zipper motif, and a highly conservative 13-consecutive-histidine repeat. May play a significant role in a pathway regulating cell proliferation and may be involved in brain development. Its gene is localized in the Down syndrome (DS) critical region of chromosome 21, and is a strong candidate gene for learning defects associated with Down syndrome. Overexpression in mice gives rise to neurological abnormalities similar to those observed in DS. Five splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Protein type: CMGC group; DYRK family; Dyrk1 subfamily; EC 2.7.12.2; Kinase, protein; Protein kinase, CMGC; Protein kinase, dual-specificity (non-receptor)
