Pre-Mrna-Splicing Factor ATP-Dependent RNA Helicase PRP16 (DHX38) ELISA Kit for Human

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS283365

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate DHX38 in samples. An antibody specific for DHX38 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyDHX38 present is bound by the… More details

Other Notes

Small volumes of DHX38 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS283365 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Pre-mRNA-splicing factor ATP-dependent RNA helicase PRP16 (DHX38) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing DHX38. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS283365 kit is based on DHX38 antibody-DHX38 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect DHX38 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, DHX38. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for DHX38

DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the DEAD/H box family of splicing factors. This protein resembles yeast Prp16 more closely than other DEAD/H family members. It is an ATPase and essential for the catalytic step II in pre-mRNA splicing process. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
