Other Notes

Small volumes of RFX2 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS283792 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the DNA-binding protein RFX2, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing RFX2. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS283792 kit is based on RFX2 antibody-RFX2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect RFX2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, RFX2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for RFX2

RFX2: a member of the regulatory factor X gene family, which encodes transcription factors that contain a highly-conserved winged helix DNA binding domain. The protein encoded by structurally related to regulatory factors X1, X3, X4, and X5. It is a transcriptional activator that can bind DNA as a monomer or as a heterodimer with other RFX family members. This protein can bind to cis elements in the promoter of the IL-5 receptor alpha gene. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene, and both variants utilize alternative polyadenylation sites. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 9q12

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: DNA binding transcription factor activity

Biological Process: acrosome formation; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; spermatid development; transcription, DNA-dependent
