Tryptase Delta (TPSD1) ELISA Kit for Human

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS284280

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TPSD1 in samples. An antibody specific for TPSD1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyTPSD1 present is bound by the… More details

Other Notes

Small volumes of TPSD1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS284280 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Tryptase delta (TPSD1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing TPSD1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS284280 kit is based on TPSD1 antibody-TPSD1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TPSD1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TPSD1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for TPSD1

Tryptases comprise a family of trypsin-like serine proteases, the peptidase family S1. Tryptases are enzymatically active only as heparin-stabilized tetramers, and they are resistant to all known endogenous proteinase inhibitors. Several tryptase genes are clustered on chromosome 16p13.3. These genes are characterized by several distinct features. They have a highly conserved 3' UTR and contain tandem repeat sequences at the 5' flank and 3' UTR which are thought to play a role in regulation of the mRNA stability. Although this gene may be an exception, most of the tryptase genes have an intron immediately upstream of the initiator Met codon, which separates the site of transcription initiation from protein coding sequence. This feature is characteristic of tryptases but is unusual in other genes. Tryptases have been implicated as mediators in the pathogenesis of asthma and other allergic and inflammatory disorders. This gene was once considered to be a pseudogene, although it is now believed to be a functional gene that encodes a protein. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
