Interleukin-1 Receptor-Associated Kinase-Like 2 (IRAK2) ELISA Kit for Rat

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS284399

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate IRAK2 in samples. An antibody specific for IRAK2 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyIRAK2 present is bound by the… More details

Other Notes

Small volumes of IRAK2 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS284399 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase-like 2 (IRAK2) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing IRAK2. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS284399 kit is based on IRAK2 antibody-IRAK2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect IRAK2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, IRAK2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for IRAK2

IRAK2: Binds to the IL-1 type I receptor following IL-1 engagement, triggering intracellular signaling cascades leading to transcriptional up-regulation and mRNA stabilization. Interacts with MYD88. IL-1 stimulation leads to the formation of a signaling complex which dissociates from the IL-1 receptor following the binding of PELI1. Expressed in spleen, thymus, prostate, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, pancreas and peripheral blood leukocytes. Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. TKL Ser/Thr protein kinase family. Pelle subfamily.

Protein type: IRAK family; Kinase, protein; Protein kinase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor); Protein kinase, TKL; TKL group

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4q42

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; cytosol; nucleus

Molecular Function: ATP binding; protein heterodimerization activity; protein homodimerization activity; protein serine/threonine kinase activity

Biological Process: activation of NF-kappaB-inducing kinase; I-kappaB kinase/NF-kappaB signaling; inflammatory response; lipopolysaccharide-mediated signaling pathway; MyD88-dependent toll-like receptor signaling pathway; negative regulation of apoptosis; negative regulation of NF-kappaB transcription factor activity; negative regulation of transcription factor activity; positive regulation of NF-kappaB transcription factor activity; protein amino acid phosphorylation; protein autophosphorylation; regulation of cytokine-mediated signaling pathway; toll-like receptor signaling pathway
