E3 Ubiquitin-Protein Ligase TRIM32 (TRIM32) ELISA Kit for Human

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS287870

This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TRIM32 in samples. An antibody specific for TRIM32 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any TRIM32 present is bound by the immobilized antibody.… More details

Other Notes

Small volumes of TRIM32 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS287870 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase TRIM32 (TRIM32) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing TRIM32. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS287870 kit is based on TRIM32 antibody-TRIM32 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TRIM32 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TRIM32. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for TRIM32

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. The protein localizes to cytoplasmic bodies. The protein has also been localized to the nucleus, where it interacts with the activation domain of the HIV-1 Tat protein. The Tat protein activates transcription of HIV-1 genes. UniProt Comments for TRIM32

Has an E3 ubiquitin ligase activity. Ubiquitinates DTNBP1 (dysbindin) and promotes its degradation. May ubiquitinate BBS2. May play a significant role in mediating the biological activity of the HIV-1 Tat protein in vivo. Binds specifically to the activation domain of HIV-1 Tat and can also interact with the HIV-2 and EIAV Tat proteins in vivo.
