Other Notes

Small volumes of IGSF1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS288146 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Immunoglobulin superfamily member 1 (IGSF1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing IGSF1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS288146 kit is based on IGSF1 antibody-IGSF1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect IGSF1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, IGSF1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for IGSF1

This gene encodes a member of the immunoglobulin-like domain-containing superfamily. Proteins in this superfamily contain varying numbers of immunoglobulin-like domains and are thought to participate in the regulation of interactions between cells. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2010]

UniProt Comments for IGSF1

IGSF1: Seems to be a coreceptor in inhibin signaling, but seems not to be a high-affinity inhibin receptor. Antagonizes activin A signaling in the presence or absence of inhibin B. Necessary to mediate a specific antagonistic effect of inhibin B on activin-stimulated transcription. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Immunoglobulin superfamily; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Membrane protein, integral; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Receptor, misc.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xq25

Cellular Component: extracellular region; integral to membrane; membrane

Molecular Function: coreceptor activity; protein binding; receptor activity

Biological Process: regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; signal transduction
