Other Notes

Small volumes of NT-2 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS030747 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Neurotrophin-2 (NT-2) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing NT-2. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS030747 kit is based on NT-2 antibody-NT-2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect NT-2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, NT-2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for NT-2

Zfp369: Transcription regulator which may participate in NGFR/p75(NTR)-mediated apoptosis. Probably acts as a transcription repressor: specifically binds to the 3'-end of zinc-finger coding genes and recruiting chromatin-modifying proteins such as SETDB1 and TRIM28/KAP1, leading to transcription repression. Belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Transcription factor; Cell cycle regulation

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; centrosome; cytoplasm; intracellular; nucleus

Molecular Function: neurotrophin p75 receptor binding; protein binding; DNA binding; nucleic acid binding; sequence-specific DNA binding; metal ion binding; transcription factor activity

Biological Process: regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; transcription, DNA-dependent; apoptosis; regulation of cell cycle
