This antibody does NOT cross-react with any other coronavirus (229E, NL63, OC43, HKU1, MERS), Adenovirus (type 4), Enterovirus (D68) Metapneumovirus, Rhinovirus, Influenza A/B, Parainfluenza (1, 2, 4b), Haemophilus Influenza, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Legionella pneumophila, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae (M129), Chlamydia pneumoniae, Bordetella pertussis, Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, and Candida albicans.

Comments: The MBS313648 and MBS313649 antibodies and antibody pair to SARS-CoV-2 Nucleocapsid Protein have been verified to recognize the UK (B.1.1.7), South African (B.1.351) and Brazilian (P.1/P.2) variants of concern (VOCs) strains. These VOCs have mutations in the SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein.

The MBS313648 and MBS313649 antibody pair has been verified to detect Omicron (B.1.1.529, live virus) down to 1.31 x 102 PFU/mL and other variants to 1.88 x 102 PFU/mL in lateral flow tests.

The MBS313648 and MBS313649 antibodies recognize the conserved nucleoprotein domain of SARS-CoV-2 nucleoprotein/nucleocapsid and are used in commercially available COVID-19 rapid antigen tests around the world.
