It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Ovine Prolactin Antagonist in sterile 18M Omega -cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity
Ovine Prolactin Antagonist is devoid of agonistic activity and capable of inhibiting biological activity of Ovine Prolactin or other lactogenic hormones as evidenced by proliferation assay of Nb2 or other cells.

Other Notes

Small volumes of oPrl A active protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for oPrl A

This gene encodes the anterior pituitary hormone prolactin. This secreted hormone is a growth regulator for many tissues, including cells of the immune system. It may also play a role in cell survival by suppressing apoptosis, and it is essential for lactation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants that encode the same protein.
