SRC Antibody – Rabbit Polyclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS417444

This gene is highly similar to the v-src gene of Rous sarcoma virus. This proto-oncogene may play a role in the regulation of embryonic development and cell growth. This gene is a tyrosine-protein kinase whose activity can be inhibited by phosphorylation by… More details

Full Product Name
Anti-Src Antibody
Product Gene Name
Clonality
Polyclonal
Host
Rabbit
Species Reactivity
Human, Mouse, Rat
Form/Format
Liquid
Purity/Purification
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation
Concentration
1ug/ul (lot specific)
Specificity
Src (phospho-Tyr529) antibody detects endogenous levels of Src only when phosphorylated at tyrosine 529.
Preparation and Storage
This product is stable for several weeks at 4 degree C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20 degree C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Expiration date is one (1) year from date of receipt.
Storage Buffer
phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized phosphopeptide derived from human Src around the phosphorylation site of tyrosine 529 (P-Q-YP-Q-P).
