Application Notes for anti-RER1 antibody
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 128000.
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 45kDa band in Human Brain lysates after 0. 01ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 22.9kDa according to NP_008964.3. The 45kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
IHC: Paraffin embedded Human Uterus. Recommended concentration: 3.75ug/ml.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-RER1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for RER1

The protein encoded by this gene is a multi-pass membrane protein that is localized to the golgi apparatus. It is involved in the retention of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane proteins in the ER and retrieval of ER membrane proteins from the early Golgi compartment to facilitate gamma-secretase complex assembly.
