Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 8000.
Western Blot: Approx 120kDa band observed in Human Testis lysates and in lysates of cell line Jurkat (calculated MW of 110kDa according to NP_004642.2). The observed molecular weight corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Ideguchi et al, Biochem J.2002 Oct 1;367(Pt 1): 87-95.; PMID: 12084015). Recommended concentration: 1-3ug/ml.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-USP11 antibody

Staining (1ug/ml) of Jurkat lysate (RIPA buffer, 30ug total protein per lane). Primary incubated for 1 hour. Detected by western blot using chemiluminescence.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-USP11 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for USP11

Protein ubiquitination controls many intracellular processes, including cell cycle progression, transcriptional activation, and signal transduction. This dynamic process, involving ubiquitin conjugating enzymes and deubiquitinating enzymes, adds and removes ubiquitin. Deubiquitinating enzymes are cysteine proteases that specifically cleave ubiquitin from ubiquitin-conjugated protein substrates. This gene encodes a deubiquitinating enzyme which lies in a gene cluster on chromosome Xp11.23 [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for USP11

USP11: Protease that can remove conjugated ubiquitin from target proteins and polyubiquitin chains. Inhibits the degradation of target proteins by the proteasome. Plays a role in the regulation of pathways leading to NF-kappa-B activation. Plays a role in the regulation of DNA repair after double-stranded DNA breaks. Belongs to the peptidase C19 family.

Protein type: EC 3.4.19.12; Protease; Ubiquitin-specific protease; Ubiquitin conjugating system
