Application Notes for anti-GOLM1 antibody
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 16000.
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Prostate shows luminal staining of secretory cells in the glands. Similar results were obtained in Human Uterus and Small intestine. Recommended concentration, 3-6ug/ml.
Western Blot: In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing full-length Human GOLM1 (myc and DYKDDDDK tagged), a band of approx.75kDa was observed. No bands were observed in mock-transfected HEK293 and the same band was observed using anti-myc tag antibody. Recommended concentration, 0.2-1ug/ml.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-GOLM1 antibody

HEK293 lysate (10ug protein in RIPA buffer) overexpressing Human GOLM1 with C-terminal MYC tag probed (1ug/ml) in Lane A and probed with anti-MYC Tag (1/1000) in lane C. Mock-transfected HEK293 probed (1mg/ml) in Lane B. Primary incubations were for 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-GOLM1 antibody

(3.8ug/ml) staining of paraffin embedded Human Prostate. Steamed antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6, AP-staining.

NCBI Summary for GOLM1

The Golgi complex plays a key role in the sorting and modification of proteins exported from the endoplasmic reticulum. The protein encoded by this gene is a type II Golgi transmembrane protein. It processes proteins synthesized in the rough endoplasmic reticulum and assists in the transport of protein cargo through the Golgi apparatus. The expression of this gene has been observed to be upregulated in response to viral infection. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described for this gene.
