Application Notes for anti-RTN4R antibody
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 16000.
Western Blot: Experiments gave bands at approx 90-100kDa and 37+40+45kDa in Human brain lysate after 0.3ug/ml antibody staining. These bands were successfully blocked by the immunizing peptide and they correspond to earlier findings in the literature with different antibodies (Wang et al, J Neurosci.2002 Jul 1;22(13): 5505-15). This protein has a calculated MW of 50.7kDa according to NP_075380.1. Recommended concentration: 0.3-1ug/ml.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-RTN4R antibody

(0.3ug/ml) staining of Human Brain lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer) with (B) and without (A) blocking with the immunising peptide. Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.
Goat Anti-RTN4R Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS420106

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-RTN4R antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for RTN4R

This gene encodes the receptor for reticulon 4, oligodendrocyte myelin glycoprotein and myelin-associated glycoprotein. This receptor mediates axonal growth inhibition and may play a role in regulating axonal regeneration and plasticity in the adult central nervous system. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
