Application Notes for anti-DARC antibody
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 16000.
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded human kidney stains epithelial cells of renal tubules and endothelial cells of vessels. The granular staining is compatible with the endoplasmic reticulum association of the protein. Human Lung showing endothelial staining. Recommended concentration, 3ug/ml.
Western Blot: Approx 35kDa band observed in human kidney and human liver lysates (calculated MW of 35.6kDa according to NP_002027.2). Recommended concentration: 0.1-0.3ug/ml.
Flow cytometry: A customer has reported successful staining of HEK293S-TetR transfected with DARC receptor at a dilution of 1/1000.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-DARC antibody

(0.1ug/ml) staining of human liver lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.
Goat Anti-DARC Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS421099

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-DARC antibody

(3ug/ml) staining of paraffin embedded human kidney. Microwaved antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6, HRP-staining.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-DARC antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for DARC

The protein encoded by this gene is a glycosylated membrane protein and a non-specific receptor for several chemokines. The encoded protein is the receptor for the human malarial parasites Plasmodium vivax and Plasmodium knowlesi. Polymorphisms in this gene are the basis of the Duffy blood group system. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
