Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 128000.
Western Blot: Approx 60-70kDa band observed in Human Kideney, Liver and Rat Kidney (calculated MW of 43.4kDa according to NP_002551.2). The observed molecular weight corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Brown et al, J Biol Chem.2004 Sep 17;279(38): 39485-94.; PMID: 15262999). Recommended concentration: 1-3ug/ml.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-P2RX4 antibody

(1ug/ml) staining of Human Kidney (A), Human Liver (B) and Rat Kidney (C) lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.

NCBI Summary for P2RX4

The product of this gene belongs to the family of purinoceptors for ATP. This receptor functions as a ligand-gated ion channel with high calcium permeability. The main pharmacological distinction between the members of the purinoceptor family is the relative sensitivity to the antagonists suramin and PPADS. The product of this gene has the lowest sensitivity for these antagonists. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants, some protein-coding and some not protein-coding, have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2012]
