Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 64000.
Western Blot: Approx 38kDa band observed in lysates of cell line U937 and of Human Spleen (calculated MW of 38.5kDa according to NP_001738.2). In Peripheral Blood Lymphocytes, the observed band runs as ~40kDa. Recommended concentration: 0.3-1ug/ml.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-CAPG antibody

(0.3ug/ml) staining of U937 (A) and Human Spleen (B) lysates (35ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-CAPG antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for CAPG

This gene encodes a member of the gelsolin/villin family of actin-regulatory proteins. The encoded protein reversibly blocks the barbed ends of F-actin filaments in a Ca2+ and phosphoinositide-regulated manner, but does not sever preformed actin filaments. By capping the barbed ends of actin filaments, the encoded protein contributes to the control of actin-based motility in non-muscle cells. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2012]
