Application Notes for anti-CTGF antibody
Pep-ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:64000.
IF: Strong expression of the protein seen in the cytoplasm of HepG2 cells. Recommended concentration: 10ug/ml.
Flow Cytometry: Flow cytometric analysis of HepG2 cells. Recommended concentration: 10ug/ml.

Immunofluorescence (IF) of anti-CTGF antibody

Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed HepG2 cells, permeabilized with 0.15% Triton. Primary incubation 1hr (10ug/ml) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2ug/ml), showing cytoplasmic and extracellular staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Negative control: Unimmunized goat IgG (10ug/ml) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2ug/ml).
Anti-CTGF Antibody – Cat# MBS423761

Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) of anti-CTGF antibody

Flow cytometric analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed HepG2 cells (blue line), permeabilized with 0.5% Triton. Primary incubation 1hr (10ug/ml) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (1ug/ml). IgG control: Unimmunized goat IgG (black line) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody.
Anti-CTGF Antibody, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) – Cat# MBS423761

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-CTGF antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for CTGF

The protein encoded by this gene is a mitogen that is secreted by vascular endothelial cells. The encoded protein plays a role in chondrocyte proliferation and differentiation, cell adhesion in many cell types, and is related to platelet-derived growth factor. Certain polymorphisms in this gene have been linked with a higher incidence of systemic sclerosis. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]

UniProt Comments for CTGF

Major connective tissue mitoattractant secreted by vascular endothelial cells. Promotes proliferation and differentiation of chondrocytes. Mediates heparin- and divalent cation-dependent cell adhesion in many cell types including fibroblasts, myofibroblasts, endothelial and epithelial cells. Enhances fibroblast growth factor-induced DNA synthesis.
