Immunoprecipitation (IP) of anti-G3BP antibody

G3BP1 was immunoprecipitated from 1mg of Jurkat cells membrane fraction, blotted with M25069 of 10 ug. Western blot was performed from the immunopre-cipitate using M25069 at 1/1000 dilution. Anti-Mouse-IgG(HRP), specific to the non-reduced form of IgG, was used as secondary antibody at 1/10000 dilution. Lane 1: Jurkat cells membrane fraction. Lane2: IP product of Jurkat cells membrane fraction.

Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) of anti-G3BP antibody

Flow cytometric analysis of 2% paraformaldehyde-fixed Jurkat (Human T cell leukemia cells from peripheral blood) cells labeling G3BP1 with M25069 at 1/200 dilution (red) compared with a mouse monoclonal IgG isotype control (blue) and an unlabelled control (cells without incubation with primary antibody, green). Goat anti-mouse IgG (FITC) at 1/300 dilution was used as the secondary antibody.

NCBI Summary for G3BP

This gene encodes one of the DNA-unwinding enzymes which prefers partially unwound 3'-tailed substrates and can also unwind partial RNA/DNA and RNA/RNA duplexes in an ATP-dependent fashion. This enzyme is a member of the heterogeneous nuclear RNA-binding proteins and is also an element of the Ras signal transduction pathway. It binds specifically to the Ras-GTPase-activating protein by associating with its SH3 domain. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of some of these variants has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Unwinds DNA/DNA, RNA/DNA, and RNA/RNA substrates with comparable efficiency (PubMed:9889278). Acts unidirectionally by moving in the 5' to 3' direction along the bound single-stranded DNA (PubMed:9889278). Phosphorylation-dependent sequence-specific endoribonuclease in vitro (PubMed:11604510). Cleaves exclusively between cytosine and adenine and cleaves MYC mRNA preferentially at the 3'-UTR (PubMed:11604510). May be a regulated effector of stress granule assembly (PubMed:12642610, PubMed:20180778).
