MIC19 Antibody – Mouse Monoclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS435117

The protein encoded by this gene is an inner mitochondrial membrane scaffold protein. Absence of the encoded protein affects the structural integrity of mitochondrial cristae and leads to reductions in ATP production, cell growth, and oxygen consumption. This… More details

Western Blot (WB) of anti-MIC19 antibody

All lanes : MIC19 Mouse mAb at 1/2000 dilution Lane 1 : Jurkat cells membrane fraction Lane 2 : THP1 cells membrane fraction Lysates/proteins at 20 ug per lane. Secondary Goat Anti-Mouse IgG-HRP, 5% milk conjugated at 1/10000 dilution Predicted band size : 26 KDa Observed band size : 26 KDa Blocking/Dilution buffer : 1x TBST.
Mouse Anti-MIC19 Monoclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS435117

Immunoprecipitation (IP) of anti-MIC19 antibody

MIC19 was immunoprecipitated from 1mg of Jurkat cells membrane fraction, blotted with M25013 of 10 ug. Western blot was performed from the immunopre-cipitate using M25013 at 1/2000 dilution. Anti-Mouse-IgG(HRP), specific to the non-reduced form of IgG, was used as secondary antibody at 1/10000 dilution. Lane 1: Jurkat cells membrane fraction. Lane2: IP product of Jurkat cells membrane fraction.

Blocking and dilution buffer and concentration:5% milk/TBST.
Mouse Anti-MIC19 Monoclonal Antibody, Immunoprecipitation (IP) – Cat# MBS435117

Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) of anti-MIC19 antibody

Flow cytometric analysis of 2% paraformaldehyde-fixed Jurkat (Human T cell leukemia cells from peripheral blood) cells labeling MIC19 with M25013 at 1/200 dilution (red) compared with a mouse monoclonal IgG isotype control (black) and an unlabelled control (cells without incubation with primary antibody, blue). Goat anti-mouse IgG (FITC) at 1/300 dilution was used as the secondary antibody.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-MIC19 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for MIC19

Component of the MICOS complex, a large protein complex of the mitochondrial inner membrane that plays crucial roles in the maintenance of crista junctions, inner membrane architecture, and formation of contact sites to the outer membrane. Has also been shown to function as a transcription factor which binds to the BAG1 promoter and represses BAG1 transcription. Plays an important role in the maintenance of the MICOS complex stability and the mitochondrial cristae morphology (PubMed:25781180).
