Other Notes

Small volumes of FPR1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS456066 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Formyl Peptide Receptor 1 (FPR1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing FPR1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS456066 kit is based on FPR1 antibody-FPR1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect FPR1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, FPR1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for FPR1

This gene encodes a G protein-coupled receptor of mammalian phagocytic cells that is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. The protein mediates the response of phagocytic cells to invasion of the host by microorganisms and is important in host defense and inflammation.[provided by RefSeq, Jul 2010]

UniProt Comments for FPR1

High affinity receptor for N-formyl-methionyl peptides (fMLP), which are powerful neutrophil chemotactic factors (PubMed:2161213, PubMed:2176894, PubMed:10514456, PubMed:15153520). Binding of fMLP to the receptor stimulates intracellular calcium mobilization and superoxide anion release (PubMed:2161213, PubMed:1712023, PubMed:15153520). This response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system (PubMed:1712023, PubMed:10514456).
