Other Notes

Small volumes of IRS1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS456722 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Insulin Receptor Substrate 1 (IRS1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing IRS1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS456722 kit is based on IRS1 antibody-IRS1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect IRS1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, IRS1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for IRS1

This gene encodes a protein which is phosphorylated by insulin receptor tyrosine kinase. Mutations in this gene are associated with type II diabetes and susceptibility to insulin resistance. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]

UniProt Comments for IRS1

IRS1: an adaptor protein that is one of the major substrates of the insulin receptor kinase. Contains multiple tyrosine phosphorylation motifs that serve as docking sites for SH2-domain-containing proteins including phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase p85 subunit and GRB-2. Phosphorylated on ser/thr residues by kinases including JNK and IKK.
