Other Notes

Small volumes of CLMP elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS458421 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Coxsackie And Adenovirus Receptor Like Membrane Protein (CLMP) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CLMP. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS458421 kit is based on CLMP antibody-CLMP antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CLMP antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CLMP. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for CLMP

This gene encodes a type I transmembrane protein that is localized to junctional complexes between endothelial and epithelial cells and may have a role in cell-cell adhesion. Expression of this gene in white adipose tissue is implicated in adipocyte maturation and development of obesity. This gene is also essential for normal intestinal development and mutations in the gene are associated with congenital short bowel syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2015]

UniProt Comments for CLMP

May be involved in the cell-cell adhesion. May play a role in adipocyte differentiation and development of obesity. Is required for normal small intestine development.
