Other Notes

Small volumes of dSIP elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Searchable Terms for dSIP purchase

MBS458937 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Delta-Sleep Inducing Peptide (dSIP) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing dSIP. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS458937 kit is based on dSIP antibody-dSIP antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect dSIP antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, dSIP. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for dSIP

This gene encodes the anti-inflammatory protein glucocorticoid (GC)-induced leucine zipper. Expression of this gene stimulated by glucocorticoids and interleukin 10 and it appears to play a key role in the anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects of this steroid. This protein has also been shown to inhibit pro-inflammatory molecules including nuclear factor κB. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016]

UniProt Comments for dSIP

Protects T-cells from IL2 deprivation-induced apoptosis through the inhibition of FOXO3A transcriptional activity that leads to the down-regulation of the pro-apoptotic factor BCL2L11. In macrophages, plays a role in the anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects of glucocorticoids and IL10. In T-cells, inhibits anti-CD3-induced NFKB1 nuclear translocation. In vitro, suppresses AP1 and NFKB1 DNA-binding activities (). Isoform 1 inhibits myogenic differentiation and mediates anti-myogenic effects of glucocorticoids by binding and regulating MYOD1 and HDAC1 transcriptional activity resulting in reduced expression of MYOG ().
