Other Notes

Small volumes of GZMH elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS459775 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Granzyme H (GZMH) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing GZMH. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS459775 kit is based on GZMH antibody-GZMH antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect GZMH antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, GZMH. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for GZMH

This gene encodes a member of the peptidase S1 family of serine proteases. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to generate a chymotrypsin-like protease. This protein is reported to be constitutively expressed in the NK (natural killer) cells of the immune system and may play a role in the cytotoxic arm of the innate immune response by inducing target cell death and by directly cleaving substrates in pathogen-infected cells. This gene is present in a gene cluster with another member of the granzyme subfamily on chromosome 14. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2015]

UniProt Comments for GZMH

Cytotoxic chymotrypsin-like serine protease with preference for bulky and aromatic residues at the P1 position and acidic residues at the P3' and P4' sites. Probably necessary for target cell lysis in cell-mediated immune responses. Participates in the antiviral response via direct cleavage of several proteins essential for viral replication.
