DENND3 Antibody – Rabbit Polyclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS500086

The DENN (differentially expressed in normal and neoplastic cells) domain (DENND) is a poorly characterized protein module conserved throughout evolution (McPherson et al., 2011). Proteins bearing a DENN domain have recently emerged as the largest family of… More details

Product Overview

Online Datasheet in PDF
Product Name
DENND3, Polyclonal Antibody
Full Product Name
Anti-Phospho-Thr450 DENND3 Antibody
Product Gene Name
Product Synonym Names
DENND3 (Thr450)
Clonality
Polyclonal
Host
Rabbit
Species Reactivity
Human
Form/Format
100 ul in 10 mM HEPES (pH 7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 100 ug per ml BSA and 50% glycerol.
Purity/Purification
Prepared from pooled rabbit serum by affinity purification via sequential chromatography on phospho and non-phosphopeptide affinity columns.
Specificity
Specific for endogenous levels of the ~142 kDa DENND3 phosphorylated at Thr450. The immunolabeling is completely eliminated by treatment with Lambda-phosphatase.

~142 kDa
3D Structure
ModBase 3D Structure for D4A2H4
Immunogen Species
Rat
Immunogen Information
Synthetic phospho-peptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding Thr450 conjugated to KLH.
Antigen
Phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding the phospho-Thr 450 of human DENND3.
Quality Control Tests
Western blots performed on each lot.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-DENND3 antibody
Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes for anti-DENND3 antibody
WB: 1:1000

Western Blot (WB) of anti-DENND3 antibody

Western blot of HeLa cell lysate showing specific immunolabeling of the ~142 kDa DENND3 protein phosphorylated at Thr 450 in the first lane (-). Phosphospecificity is shown in the second lane (+) where immunolabeling is completely eliminated by lysate treatment with lambda phosphatase (lambda-Ptase, 800 units/1mg protein for 30 min)

UniProt Comments for DENND3

DENND3: a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) activating RAB12. Promotes the exchange of GDP to GTP, converting inactive GDP-bound RAB12 into its active GTP-bound form. Plays a role in protein transport from recycling endosomes to lysosomes regulating, for example, the degradation of the transferrin receptor. Four isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: GEFs; GEFs, Rab

Cellular Component: intracellular

Molecular Function: Rab guanyl-nucleotide exchange factor activity

Biological Process: cellular protein catabolic process; endosome to lysosome transport; positive regulation of GTPase activity
