Product Overview

Online Datasheet in PDF
Product Name
Tryptophan Hydroxylase (TPH1), Polyclonal Antibody
Full Product Name
Anti-Tryptophan Hydroxylase
Product Gene Name
Clonality
Polyclonal
Species Reactivity
Human, Rat
Expected Reactivity: Bovine, Canine, Feline, Goat, Guinea Pig, Hamster, Horse, Mouse, Non-Human Primate, Sheep, Vole
Form/Format
100 ul in 150 mM NaCl, 10 mM HEPES (pH 7.5), 100 ug per ml BSA and 5O% glycerol. Adequate amount of material to conduct 1O-mini Western blots.
Purity/Purification
Antigen Affinity Purified from Pooled Serum
Purified from pooled sheep serum by affinity purification using a column to which the fusion protein immunogen was coupled
Specificity
Specific for the ~55k TPH protein in Western blots of human dorsal Raphe nucleus. Immunolabeling has been demonstrated in rat brain tissues. Based upon the relatively high degree of homology of tryptophan hydroxylase, the antibodies should cross-react with other mammalian species.
Preparation and Storage
For long term storage -80°C is recommended, but shorter term storage at -20°C is also acceptable as aliquots may be taken without freeze/thawing due to the presence of 50% glycerol. Stock solutions are stable for a minimum of 1 year at -20°C.
Molecular Weight
55 kDa
Chromosome Location
chromosome: Un
3D Structure
ModBase 3D Structure for P17290
Immunogen
Recombinant rabbit tryptophan hydroxylase, isolated as inclusion bodies from E.coli and purified by preparative SDS-PAGE
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-TPH1 antibody
Dot blots (DB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western blots (WB).
Application Notes for anti-TPH1 antibody
DB: 1:1000
IHC: 1:1000
WB: 1:1000

Quality Control Tests: Western blots performed on each lot.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-TPH1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
