C5a Receptor (CD88) Antibody – Rat Monoclonal

This monoclonal antibody detects an epitope on the N terminus (aa 1-15) of the human C5a receptor (also known as CD88) found on human myeloid cells including granulocytes and monocytes/macrophages. It does not bind to tubular epithelial cells in situ under normal or inflammatory conditions. C5aR binds to C5a, a 74 aa peptide cleaved from complement protein C5. C5a receptor has seven transmembrane segments and is a member of the rhodopsin subfamily of G protein coupled receptors. Applications for this clone include flow cytometry, immunohistochemisty (frozen sections) and receptor blockage assays (unpublished results).

Small volumes of anti-CD88 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
