Melanocortin Receptor 4 (MC4R) Antibody – Rabbit Polyclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS524440

Melanocortin 4 receptor is a G-protein-coupled receptor from the melanocortin receptor family that binds amelanocyte stimulating hormon ~(a-MSH). These receptors transduce signals provided by a-MSH by coupling to the G-protein and activating adenyl ate… More details

NCBI Summary for MC4R

The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane-bound receptor and member of the melanocortin receptor family. The encoded protein interacts with adrenocorticotropic and MSH hormones and is mediated by G proteins. This is an intronless gene. Defects in this gene are a cause of autosomal dominant obesity.
