Product Overview

Product Name
sCD40Ligand(TRAP, Active Protein
Full Product Name
Recombinant Human soluble CD40 Ligand (rHu sCD40L)
Product Synonym Names
human sCD40Ligand(TRAP; rHusCD40L) ; Human soluble CD40 Ligand
Host
E Coli
Form/Format
Lyophilized from a 0.2mm filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.0.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder
Purity/Purification
>95% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses.
Preparation and Storage
This lyophilized preparation is stable at 2-8 degree C, but should be kept at -20 degree C for long term storage, preferably desiccated. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is stable for up to one week at 2-8 degree C. For maximal stability, apportion the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20 degree C to -70 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Active Protein Note
Protein activity can be an ambiguous term. Please refer to the data sheet or inquire with Technical Support to determine the definition of activity for this product.
Molecular Weight Information
Approximately 16.2 kDa, a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 146 amino acids.
Biological Activity
Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependant stimulation of IL-12 & IL-8 induction by PMB (Peripheral Mononuclear) cells was found to be ƒ10 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1 x 106 IU/mg.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1EU/mg of rHusCD40L as determined by LAL method.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1% BSA to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquots and stored at <-20 degree C. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.

Other Notes

Small volumes of sCD40Ligand(TRAP active protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
