LIX/CXCL5 (93a.a.) (LIX/CXCL5) Murine Active Protein

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS546047

The murine homolog of ENA-78 is called LIX. ENA-78/LIX is a CXC chemokine that signals through the CXCR2 receptor. It is expressed in monocytes, platelets, endothelial cells, and mast cells. ENA-78/LIX is a chemoattractant for neutrophils. The three naturally… More details

Product Overview

Product Name
LIX/CXCL5 (93a.a.), Active Protein
Full Product Name
Recombinant Murine LIX/CXCL5 (93a.a.)(rMuLIX/CXCL5)
Product Gene Name
Product Synonym Names
murine LIX/CXCL5 (93a.a.); Murine LIX/CXCL5(93a.a.)
Host
E Coli
Form/Format
Lyophilized from a 0.2mm filtered concentrated (1.0mg/ml) solution in 20mM PB, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl.
Purity/Purification
>97% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses.
Preparation and Storage
This lyophilized preparation is stable for several weeks at 2-8 degree C, but should be kept at -20 degree C for long term storage, preferably desiccated. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is stable for up to one week at 2-8 degree C. For maximal stability, apportion the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20 degree C to -70 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Active Protein Note
Protein activity can be an ambiguous term. Please refer to the data sheet or inquire with Technical Support to determine the definition of activity for this product.
Molecular Weight Information
833.4 (as tetrasodium anhydrate)
Biological Activity
Fully biologically active when compared to standard. Determined by its ability to chemoattract human peripheral blood neutrophils using a concentration range of 10.0-100.0 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1EU/mg of rMuLIX/CXCL5 as determined by LAL method.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1% BSA to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquots and stored at <-20 degree C. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.

Other Notes

Small volumes of LIX/CXCL5 active protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
