CD27 Antibody – Mouse Monoclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS550104

CD27 is a disulfide-linked 120-kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on the majority of T cells, B cells, and NK cells; it has homology to a family of molecules that includes the receptors for nerve growth factor and TNF. Previous studies strongly suggest… More details

Application Notes for anti-CD27 antibody
Western Blot: This monoclonal antibody has been tested in WB analysis of human CD27. A suitable range of concentrations of this antibody for WB detection is 0.5-2 ug/ml.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-CD27 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for CD27

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor is required for generation and long-term maintenance of T cell immunity. It binds to ligand CD70, and plays a key role in regulating B-cell activation and immunoglobulin synthesis. This receptor transduces signals that lead to the activation of NF-kappaB and MAPK8/JNK. Adaptor proteins TRAF2 and TRAF5 have been shown to mediate the signaling process of this receptor. CD27-binding protein (SIVA), a proapoptotic protein, can bind to this receptor and is thought to play an important role in the apoptosis induced by this receptor. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
