GM-CSF Mouse Recombinant Protein

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS553013

GM-CSF is a monomeric protein of 127 amino acids with two glycosylation sites. The protein is synthesized as a precursor of 144 amino acids, which included a hydrophobic secretory signal sequence at the aminoterminal end. The sugar moiety is not required for… More details

Host
E Coli (Host protein expression may be lot-specific and can be subject to change during production, including bulk orders)
Form/Format
Recombinant mouse GM-CSF was lyophilized from 0.2 um filtered PBS solution, pH 7.0.
Purity/Purification
>95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20 degree C.
Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree - 8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity.

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Molecular Weight
16,091 Da
3D Structure
ModBase 3D Structure for P01587
Domain
four helix cytokine core
Host Note
Optimized DNA sequence encoding Mouse Granulocyte Macrophage-Colony Stimulating Factor mature chain was expressed in Escherichia Coli.
Endotoxin
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).
Reconstitution
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
Molecular Weight Note
Native Mouse Granulocyte Macrophage-Colony Stimulating Factor is generated by the proteolytic removal of the signal peptide and propeptide, this molecule has a calculated mass of 14 kDa.

Recombinant mouse GM-CSF is a disulfide-linked monomer protein, consisting of 125 amino acids and migrates as an approximately 14 kDa protein under reducing conditions.

Other Notes

Small volumes of GM-CSF recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
