Other Notes

Small volumes of CD150 recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for CD150

SLAM: a type I membrane protein present on the surface of B cells, T cells and CD83+ dendritic cells. A high-affinity self-ligand considered to be important in bidirectional T <-> B-cell stimulation. SLAM-induced signal-transduction events in T lymphocytes are different from those in B cells. Two modes of SLAM signaling are likely to exist: one in which the inhibitor SH2D1A (SAP) acts as a negative regulator and another in which protein-tyrosine phosphatase 2C (SHP-2)-dependent signal transduction operates. Its cytoplasmic domain interacts with SAP through part of its SH2 domain, and with SHP-2. Three alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, misc.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q23.3

Cellular Component: integral to membrane; phagocytic vesicle; external side of plasma membrane

Molecular Function: protein binding; transmembrane receptor activity; antigen binding

Biological Process: viral reproduction; regulation of catalytic activity; regulation of vesicle fusion; positive regulation of cell proliferation; lymphocyte activation; signal transduction
